Photographing Your 2D Artwork on a Budget, Zoom Demonstration with Ben Boswell

19 November 2021 at 7:00pm (UK time)

£12.00 per person for a 2 hour demonstration.

Join Ben as he explains how to photograph your flat artwork professionally using your phone camera, improvising with inexpensive domestic lighting and everyday household objects. There will be a chance to ask questions and chat to Ben at the end of the demonstration. A PDF factsheet accompanies this event and you will have access to re-watch the zoom demo for seven days after the event.

His demo will show you how to achieve

  • Accurate colour
  • Sharp reproduction
  • Good contrast
  • Even lighting across the whole picture
  • Correct geometry: getting ‘square-on’ to the picture to avoid distortion

By using some simple improvisations and a mobile phone, Ben will show you how to set up a home studio complete with lighting, diffusers, reflectors and a tripod. His demo covers shooting and post-production advice

How the course works

We will send you an email the day before the demonstration with the ID and password for the meeting and a link for Zoom. The email will also have your PDF factsheet attached. You will need Zoom to attend this demonstration so do remember to install it on your device! After the demonstration you will be sent a private link to view a recording of the session as many times as you like for seven days following the event. If you purchased a ticket before this time and the link email does not arrive please check your spam folder and then contact us in good time so we can resend it.

Tickets must be paid for in advance and are not refundable. Ticket sales end 30 minutes before the demonstration, but if you book less than 24 hours before the event you will have to pay by card as other forms of payment may not be able to be verified. The Zoom link for late bookers will be sent as soon as we confirm payment.
